The easternmost of the Eli Karp’s multi-building Hello Living complex on the Crown Heights/ Prospect Heights border is growing on us. The Sydney, as the 18-unit building is called, is so totally un-New Yorky that it definitely takes some getting used to. That said, the big balconies and California vibe seem quite welcoming. The design itself was guided by a desire to move all circulation (stairs, elevators, hallways) to the perimeter so that the apartments themselves could be simple rectangles. Arch Daily has tons of photos. The apartments hit the market a year ago and so far all of them have sold or are in contract except the two lower duplexes (available here and here). Anyone checked this place out in person?
