194-Meserole-Street-Brooklyn-0409.jpgThe eight-unit condo building at 194 Meserole Street in East Williamsburg has only been on the market since early March but it’s already undergone one across-the-board price cut of around 10 percent. Frankly, we’re surprised the developer is even trying. Who the heck is going to shell out over $500 a foot for something this ugly in far-from-prime Williamsburg (except for the two people who are already in contract, that is)? GMAP

  1. i looked last september at the duplex in question w outdoor space. Yeah, it’s one block from the Montrose L. But I don’t commute daily. I have friends at Graham L w tricked out duplex down recreation room king humungous en suite bedroom / bath. That’s pretty awesome. Take another $25,000 off the price you can get this for $374 sf interior, $272 sf incl. very real tangible private outdoor space. It’s the last unit in the building so in fact it did sell through. Assuming I can walk safely home one block from the Montrose L at all hours, biggest issue for me is only six units total sharing the eventual expenses. After 6 months of looking so far, I almost wanna take a 2nd look. Any feedback?
