It’s a shame that the developer of 1124 Bedford Avenue didn’t rehabilitate the old Bedford-Stuyvesant Community Mental Health Center (photo here) at the corner of Bedford and Gates Avenues in Bed Stuy rather than construct this new six-story building. On the plus side, perhaps all 67 units of this place will have no choice but to become affordable housing. Actually, since it looks like CPC is providing financing for it, maybe all of it is already slated to be affordable.
