A new Japanese restaurant is about to open on the Prospect Heights side of Flatbush Avenue between Sterling Place and Plaza Street East. Called Shitake (after the mushroom, presumably, not the stomach ailment), the new establishment replaces chain restaurant Wok N Roll. No advance word on the quality level but, as one Brooklynian commenter put it, “it can’t be worse than wok n roll.” GMAP
