Streetlevel: New Chapter for Wine Bar at 50 Henry

The storefront at 50 Henry Street, formerly a cafe and more recently a wine bar, has been getting a new look for the new year. When we snapped this photo before the holidays, the trim was still yellow; now it’s dark red, which makes sense since the new incarnation will be a joint venture between the owners of nearby Cranberry’s and Henry’s End, reports the Brooklyn Heights Blog; according to the Brooklyn Paper, former owner, the disgraced Dan Kaufman, has no connection to the new venture. The combined effort will include “casual, good food” for breakfast and lunch and a wine bar with small plates of cheese, paté and salads in the evening.
