Now that the news is out about the Freemans is out of the bag, one question remains: What will it be called? Well, we’ve got a clue courtesy of public filings. According to a liquor license application dated June 27, the name of the business is Vinegar Hill House. Think that’s just a working name or the one that’ll go above the door? A riff, perhaps, on the Soho House Update: Seems our speculation about this place has been close but not entirely on the mark. One of the partners in the new restaurant is also a co-owner in the Freemans Sporting Club barbershop, but not the Freemans restaurant; nor are the Freemans restaurant owners involved in the Vinegar Hill venture. Got it? Oh, and a name has not been decided upon yet.
