The shoring’s done and excavation underway at the first of four buildings John Catsimatidis has planned for Myrtle Avenue. The first one, at the easternmost end of the site, will be nine stories and will, in all likelihood contain some kind of supermarket; the second building, which won’t get underway until the first one’s complete, is slated to have a drug store, most likely Duane Reade. Because of the economic environment, the four buildings are being financed and built as four separate projects.
