Time to Start Getting Real, Downtown!

It’s official: The cast of the 21st season of “The Real World” will live in Downtown Brooklyn’s Belltel Lofts, says the Daily News. And how pumped does Belltell owner David Bistricer sound? Palpably. “It is what it is. It’s the ‘Real World,’” says Bistricer. (Isn’t it kinda weird that the day a measure to preserve Starrett City’s affordability is announced, spurned buyer Bistricer is in the news for bringing the height of philistine vulgarity MTV to Brooklyn?) The seven strangers will be living in a $6 million, 6,000-square-foot, two-story penthouse. A Jacuzzi will be imported. Fun facts: The spread will be the smallest in “Real World” history, and filming will not be allowed in Belltel’s common areas. See you at Floyd, guys.
