StreetLevel: Blue Ribbon Nixes Slope’s Late-Night Snacks

Sleepy old town, sleepy old town. A couple weeks ago, Blue Ribbon and Blue Ribbon Sushi put an end to the chainlet’s signature late-night hours on 5th Avenue. Blue Ribbon, which stayed open until 2am Monday through Thursday and 4 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, is now only open until midnight Monday through Thursday and until 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. A 5th Ave. manager we spoke to last night said wee-hours dining will continue at Blue Ribbon’s Manhattan spots, and that the Slope restaurants are now open an hour earlier than they were before. “It’s all about the neighborhood,” she said. “Over here, it’s just more family-oriented.” GMAP
