As reported in the Brooklyn Eagle, the Herman Behr mansion on the corner of Henry and Pierrepont was sold after being listed on the market for $12 million. The building has 26 rental units and was designed by Frank Freeman in the late 19th century. The landmark was purchased by a Manhattan-based firm called Fine Times, a developer that specializes in restoring townhouses and brownstones, according to an article in the Times.

I sigh whenever I pass the Behr Mansion. So creepy romantic. That Fine Times company owns a lot of nice buildings.

it’s a nice building, but the inside is in dire need of a makeover. last may, my girlfriend and i looked at an apartment on the top floor. it was pretty filthy, and felt like being in a state-run mental illness facility (hallways, elevator, smell, etc.).
82 Pierrepont St is one of the nicest buildings in Brooklyn. Its one of the best H.H. Richardson-clone buildings I’ve ever seen.
