Regardless of the politics, though, the bottom line is another summer (or make that six summers) of endless tacos in Red Hook. As Eater reported, the Red Hook food vendors, which had been threatened by both DOB and Parks over permitting issues, received a new six-year lease on life yesterday. The Parks Department is happy to keep this longstanding tradition in place by awarding a permit to the Food Vendors Committee of Red Hook Park, said Commissioner Benepe. Sweeeet!
