What to do when a blogger starts a flea market? Start a blog about it, of course. Nine weeks remain until the kick-off of The Brooklyn Flea on April 6. Eric Demby, whom some of you may recall we brought on in December to curate and organize the weekly market, has been working tirelessly to make sure we have the perfect mix of vendors. If you check out the sidebar of the Brooklyn Flea Blog, you can see some of the 80 or so confirmed vendors that have been accepted so far. The list includes furniture, lighting, records, bicycles, jewelry designers and even artisanal cheese makers. From now until launch, Eric will be chronicling all aspects of the planning process on the blog and soliciting reader input along the way. We’ll be alerting you to new posts around here but urge you to check in with the Flea Blog on a regular basis. In the meantime, we’re particularly interested in adding to the list of antiques and vintage vendors, so if you know anyone, please drop an email to flea@brownstoner.com.
Thanks,
Mr. B
