  1. a building moratorium is a great idea and allows the process to be completed without a developer playing beat the clock with zoning changes. Williamsburg is a mess – all that attracted people in the first place is being destroyed. Hate to see CGdns go that way. Nimby’s rule!! They should – no one knows or cares for a neighborhood the way those that live in do and besides there are plenty of ways to building new housing without draining the blood of the city.

  2. Asking for a downzoning study is one thing but expecting the city to put in place “protections while the study is being conducted” is another. A building moratorium is illegal and will not fly. Sorry Carroll Gardens, you’re not so precious that your interests supercede that of the entire city.
