After several years at its 55 Washington location, Dumbo stalwart Recycle-a-Bicycle today opens at its new (also Walentas-owned) location a couple of blocks away at 35 Pearl Street. The shop promotes everyday bike use in the city and provides youth training and environmental education to kids through its after-school youth program. (There’s a sister store in the East Village). When a truck mangled our parked bicycle earlier this fall, we donated it for them to use as parts and then got our Craigslist replacement tuned up there.
