Over at 214 North 11th Street (also dubbed the Roebling Oil Field for self-explanatory reasons by our friends at Gowanus Lounge), the ubiquitous Karl Fischer has designed a 120-unit, 146,000-square-foot residential building. The legal entity that controls the project may provide a clue to the name that will ultimately be used to market the project—McCarren Park Mews. Never mind that it’s neither on the park or a mews. The issue of a name, however, may be moot if they can’t get the oil problem under control: Pile driving earlier this week reportedly stirred up some more oily stink.
