Development Watch: Do-Over Time at 353 Prospect?
Plans for yet another troubled Scarano project may be sinking. There’s been no progress at 353 Prospect Place since March, when the DOB put a stop-work order on what was shaping up to be a four-story, 10-unit condo. But, according to neighborhood sources, the Prospect Heights build shifted shapes in ways that weren’t exactly foreseen by blueprints: The front side of the building is said to have started sinking into the site’s foundation, and contractors may have to raze the construction that’s already been completed. Should the Scarano team decide it wants to get on the level, might we suggest a potentially handy $2 investment?
