There were rumors that the mostly constructed (and, judging by its exterior, mostly undistinguished) condo on Cortelyou and Stratford was going rental. Not true, according to a post on Ditmas Park Blog, which notes that Brooklyn Hearth Realty has started marketing the building. Details about the development are scarce, though one listing shows that 1,100-square-foot two-bedrooms are asking around $500 a foot. No clue as to what the interior finishes are like, though it’d be surprising if they were any great shakes given the cheap-ish overall look. On the plus side, new construction is not exactly abundant ’round these parts, and the building’s location has proximity to Cortelyou retail and the subway stop going for it. Still, think $500 a foot in Flatbush in today’s market is gonna fly?
