The curvaceous number that’s been going up on First Street between Fourth and Fifth avenues appears to be having a difficult time following a straight path to the finish line. No work’s been done at 267 First Street—an Isaac Fischman-Robert Scarano project—for eight months, as there’s been a stop-work order on the construction since January. When we posted about this in May, we guessed that FAR shenanigans might be to blame for the lack of progress; one person, meanwhile, commented that beams had fallen from the site. We’re putting this one out there again, though, since whatever caused the DOB violation is apparently still unresolved: Anyone got inside dirt on why this is still stalled?
