A mystery firm called the Sun Sun Corp. has snapped up several vacant industrial buildings in Williamsburg and is telegraphing its intentions via the name it’s registered the properties under: Ainslie Tower LLC. Sun Sun has purchased 467 Keap Street and 49-51 Ainslie streets, all of which are within spitting distance of the Lorimer L stop. According to DOB records, an application to build a 10-story residential structure at 467 Keap was made—and rejected—back in June. If the project happens, it’ll rise on the same block as a new condo from TreeTop Development and an in-the-works mixed-use building from the Chetrit Group. Repeated calls to the Chinatown-based Sun Sun have shed little light on the would-be Ainslie Tower, though one person who answered the phone told us they’re building condos and stores and stuff there.
