Back in March 2006, it was announce that the building, which is owned by HPD, would be turned into 14 subsidized condo units with a $1 million in financing from the North Brooklyn Development Corporation and another $300,000 kicked in by the city. In the 16 months since, not a single announcement or filing with the Department of Buildings. We know that the wheels of bureaucracy turn slowly, but this is something else! Anyone know what the hold-up is?
