99 Gold Update: 30 Percent Rented, Move-Ins Begun

As you can see from the balcony bicycle storage, actual human beings are living at 99 Gold Street as of about two weeks ago. Those of you who’ve been paying attention will recall that sales at the Vinegar Hill development stalled out this Spring, compelling the owners to turn the building into a rental. Since then, 26 of the 87 units have been leased, mostly to young professionals (though a couple of families have signed up). Most of the listings are going for $3,300 to $3,500 for a 1,000-square-foot one-bedroom-plus-office apartment (plus a 1/87 share in the basketball court).
