Development Watch: 541 Washington From Above

A reader who lives in the Cathedral building on the corner of Washington and Atlantic wrote in yesterday to give us an update on the progress, or lack thereof, at 541-545 Washington Avenue, the 100,000-square-foot Stephen B. Jacobs-designed residential development in the middle of the block. So how’s it going? “Some of the bricks on the walkway to our front door that are nearest to the construction site are caving in,” she writes. “I’m just praying that I won’t come home to a collapsed building next week.” Yup, that would suck. As for the 7-story, 63-unit building itself, no renderings have appeared on the architect’s website yet. Anyone seen or heard anything yet?
