Development Watch: St. Marks Doubleshot

As we’ve said before, we think the eastern portion of Prospect Heights is ripe for new developments; obviously, a few developers agree with us, as evidenced by the numerous projects in the area. On St. Marks Avenue between Washington and Underhill there are two such projects underway, both of which involved tearing down some not particularly scenic rowhouses (insets). At 324 St. Marks, a four-story, 16,000-square-foot residential building is in the steel stage; ultimately, there will be eight (rather large, some basic math would suggest) units. Meanwhile, a few lots over at 336 St. Marks, there’s only a fence application listed on the DOB website, so dunno what the plan is. Anyone?
