What’s up with the crazy prices for condos on Union Street? Back in August, we looked at this one between Henry and Clinton for $1,695,000 (which happens to be still sitting on the market). A couple blocks away, between Smith and Court, another newly-developed charmless penthouse is asking a brash $1,495,000. In theory, we get the appeal of a “house on the roof” concept, and can even see paying $700 or $800 a foot for something special, but this place ain’t special. This looks like your run-of-the-mill slap job to us. What are these people thinking?
