We weren’t surprised to see the asking price on this Lefferts Manor Gardens limestone get trimmed by $50,000 earlier this week: Although it has very nice bones, it shows terribly. If we were the broker we’d try to get the current owners to move out and invest in a $5,000 cosmetic tune-up. The houses on this street are lovely but this place looks like it hasn’t seen any sunlight or fresh air since the Reagan administration. We’re still not sure they’d be able to get the new ask of $895,000, but they could probably get $825,00 or $850,000.
