The condo-i-zation of townhouses trend has extended to “Brooklyn’s hottest community” aka East Williamsburg, according to this listing. Prices range from $350,000 to $455,000 for apartments ranging in size from 585 to 1,300 square feet. Although lacking any old-world charm, we’ve certainly seen worse on the pages of Craigslist, which is where we dug this one up. It looks like the developer stands to do quite well. If he can sell all seven apartments close to the asking price, he’s looking at grossing close the $3 million, way more than he could get for the building as a one- or two-family. It would be interesting to know if the sales are getting any traction. It’d also be interesting to see what the facade looks like. At least the broker provided floor plans though.
