I’d have expected a lot more discussion on the “Dwindling Middle Class” article.
Maybe should have been featured item not just one of Thursday connections.
Oh Lord!,
You MIGHT be able to make an argument for these parking permits in a few areas, such as Bklyn. Hts., but, as is evident from the article, there would be tremendous pressure to issue them all over which would lead to the situation you describe in DC.
Bob, you hit the nail on the head. I lived in Washington, DC for several years and couldn’t drive my car because although I could park it outside of my house, I couldn’t park it anywhere near where I needed to be every day. The subway didn’t run nearby so my only option was a long meandering bus ride, or drive near the subway and then subway and bus. It was a nightmare. I was never so happy as to get back to the jungles of BK where parking is every man for himself.
