Shop of the Week: Darr on Atlantic

“What do a towering 1960s surgical lamp, a carved wooden 18th-century Moroccan table and a humongous stuffed elk head have in common?” asks New York Magazine. The answer: Darr. We’ve been a fan of the eclectic home design store in Boerum Hill ever since our brother-in-law worked there for like two weeks last year. Run by a colorful duo (a former window dresser and production designer), the store is a stand-out on an increasingly great shopping strip. We found a wonderful pair of white china lamps there last Fall (though the wiring on one turned out not to work. Grrrrr.) Anyway, a more fun selection of items is hard to find. What kind of experiences have others had there?
