Development Watch: A Step Up in Bay Ridge?
With all the negative talk about fugly new developments in the borough, a Bay Ridge resident emailed to suggest we look at a recent building designed by Sears Tambasco Architects that he believes runs counter to this trend. “I heard the developer lives in the neighborhood, hence, he didn’t go cheap on us,” he writes. “It’s proof that with a good budget, good architecture can be accomplished.” We have to admit the 6-story, 20,000-square-foot structure is a whole lot better than most of the crap we’ve been talking about lately. We’d be curious to know how the apartments are priced. The chatter on Wired NY is that the smallest units start at $700,000.
