The Daily News is confirming Curbed’s report yesterday on problems at Williamsburg’s controversial ‘Finger’ building. According to The News, the building’s developer may have voided his grandfathered project by demolishing more than 50% of a neighboring warehouse. If this turns out the be the case, everyone’s favorite builder Mendel Brach would be forced to scale down the 220-foot tower slated to rise at 144 North 8th Street. Next up: A big fight over the technicalities of how to measure the percentage of the warehouse that was actually demo’d.
