Building Rush In Anticipation of Downzoning

There are a few interesting numbers put forth in today’s Daily News story about the rush to lay foundations in advance of the anticipated “downzoning” of the 50-block area from 15th to 24th Streets between Fourth Avenue and Prospect Park West:

  • “On every block, there’s two or three construction sites.”–Randy Peers of CB7

  • There are five buildings with 70 units going up on 23rd Street alone.–Aaron Brashear
