Guest Restaurant Review: Lewis and Ruby’s

Lewis and Ruby’s, 393 Lewis Avenue.
Christian Dennery and wife-business partner Maria Dolores Lagdameo, who brought us Liquors and Bodegas (one and two on my neighborhood dining list), have recently opened Lewis and Ruby’s on Lewis between Decatur and Macdonough. The cucumber salad is spicy and refreshing, the stuffed flounder tender and delicious, with sweet potato and stuffed with corn bread. Also on the menu: seafood gumbo, crab cakes catfish, grilled shrimp and BBQ ribs. Brunch served on weekends. BYOB for now until they get a liquor license. Heaven.
