We’re pretty sure this baby is hot off the presses. Though the listing is not any more specific about the location of this 4-story brick than “Clinton Hills” (sic), we’re pretty sure it’s on Cambridge between Gates and Greene. Despite the fact that it looks like it may be on the narrow side, there is a certain grandeur to the facade that appeals to us. We don’t know what the interior looks like (we expect it needs a lot of love though the listing claims it still has excellent details), but our gut feeling is that it is a considerably better buy at $1.275 million than the Clifton Place house we featured yesterday for $1.3 million. Though there are still a couple sketchy buildings on this stretch of Cambridge, it is a lovely, wide street with a good architecture and a large majority of owner-inhabited buildings. Once the two SROs at the Southern end of the block turn over, it’ll be great. And since the mid-block street light was fixed a few months ago, it also should be considerably safer. If it’s the house we’re thinking of, we’re dying to get a peek inside.
