Purple-gray up on the walls. Next to protect our paint job so far and go for broke painting the mouldings, picture mouldings and base mouldings black.

I like that purple gray! What color is it?

that is Benjamin Moore's weirdly named Piano Concerto. I'd characterize it as highly pleasant. It looks awesome with the mouldings painted black. I will post that shortly.

you know, it was actually a back-channel deal we established with the South Stuy reno-ers to reduce the amount of purple paint being tossed into staten island's landfills. all the seagulls there were looking way to pleasant, if you know what I mean.

they gave us a great deal too.

What kind of black paint are you using? I'm contemplating painting the fronts of my staircase black (not nice wood, unfortunately)

sorry, not sure which black it is anymore, but it was a Benjamin Moore.
