I love it. I have to ask, do you have tatoos? Your mosaics remind me of tatoos. They are quite awesome.

Please explain the sliding mirror panels. Enjoying your work so much.

thanks for the kind words! we don't have tatoos, but do have an interest in patterns and are always on the lookout for inspiration.
The sliding mirror panels are hard to explain without a sketch, so maybe one is in order. But instead of a mirrored door over the sink recesses, like a normal medicine cabinet, we are planning on having our mirrors float out in front of the recesses, off the wall, and be able to slide from side to side on tracks to access the recesses with their shelves behind.

after you grout the recess, post a pic and we'll see if the effect is as appealing. thanks.

Where do you find these so called sliding mirror panels?
Posted by: jon at March 19, 2007 1:43 PM
the mirror panels we will have to fabricate ourselves. we are looking into different systems for hanging them and allowing the sliding action. short answer is, it's not resolved yet. we will defintely post about it when we get there, but it will be a while.

great. look forward to the resolution and everything between then and now.

Really beautiful work. What a wonderful idea, the "floating" mirrors. Just great!
