New Steel Lintel

The guys from Olympia Gates were back once again, this time to reinforce the large opening on the back of the lower level. This was the opening we found when we removed the old shed and demo'd out the old bathroom walls. What at first was a frightening find is now something we are very excited about. Now that the opening is reinforced with new steel angles, we will be installing french doors (salvaged from P's uncle's house in the burbs) along with a new andersen sidelight to fill the opening with glass. It should let in a lot of light to our future kitchen and become a great feature to that space.

Unfortunately, we were unable to watch the guys in action this time. A bummer because their precision and efficiency is really cool to see.
