Uncover/Discover

You can see it already in yesterday's pictures, but in preparation for taping/spackling action, we finally did what we've been tempted to do for so long - remove the nasty carpet from the back Parlor floor.
We had saved the carpet there to protect the floor, but over time it has sucked up so much dust and debris that we were worried it would find it's way into the walls as we worked on them.
It's amazing how getting the carpet out transforms the room. All of sudden it's a place with closed walls and wood floors. It's like remembering that the space could be fit for humans some day.
