One Brownstoner reader wants to get their single-family townhouse’s dumbwaiter — a miniature elevator used to bring objects, typically food, between floors, for those who didn’t know — back in working condition. Unfortunately, the dumbwaiter is currently missing its mechanicals. Any advice on how to go about repairs?
